The shape of my experiences as a larger, Latin-Queer man greatly informs my work as an artist. I am committed to exploring the social and political contexts and surveillance that have overdetermined my experiences and the experiences of so many Others. My hope is to capture, in visual media, the emotional, political and cultural content of oppression. I also want to provide a window into the social world, to depict both what is more beautiful and what is uglier than we expect.

I am a Queer-Feminist-Latin/Native-American-Bear. I am an artist, mostly painting and drawing, but I have done the whole ceramics track as part of my education, so if you need to know anything about firing or glazes, I'm your man. I also do wood carving and multi-medium kinds of stuff. I am starting to explore metalsmithing and that has very fun but frustrating. A few moons ago I was a body piercer and a massage therapist, I still keep my hand in both practices. I love to meet knew people, I believe in friends with benefits, and I am open to new experiences around sensuality and sex. I love to talk about theory and the many ways we as a socially constructed people are oppressed. Hegemony is the the true Devil! For the record, Hispanic is a bad word to me, so don't use it.
